Destination: Murchison Falls, Jinja water Rafting
Fun students’ tour to explore the river Nile at its best! Visit the most beautiful park of the country and marvel at the impressive Falls. More adventure is awaiting you with an exciting river Nile rafting trip!
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala – Murchison Falls
Students will be picked from hotel after an early breakfast, depart for the most Uganda’s largest national park: Murchison Falls. Upon entering the park, we will visit the magnificent falls where you will enjoy the views of the magnificent Murchison falls, being forced into a seven meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades that can be viewed at different points up to the baler’s summit. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli Rest Camp, Murchison Falls River Lodge, Nile Safari Lodge or Paraa Safari Lodge..
Day 2: Game Drive & Launch Cruise
Early morning embark on a half-day game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, guided by a game ranger. Wildlife in this part includes the Rothschild Giraffe, elephant, Jackson hartebeest, lions, oribis, waterbucks and a variety of savannah woodland birds. In the afternoon we will go on a Nile launch cruise for game viewing at close quarters; this is a paradise for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli Rest Camp, Murchison Falls River Lodge, Nile Safari Lodge or Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Jinja Source of the Nile River
Have breakfast at your hotel and depart Murchison Falls and head towards the south. From Kampala we will continue to Jinja, the source of the Nile. The drive will take you through Various Tea Estates and Sugar Plantations. Enroute you will have a stop at Ssezibwa falls, This is a Buganda Heritage site the beautiful and spiritual Ssezibwa Falls have long been a favorite of the kings of Buganda. Here the “black water” tumbles over the rock into the pool –while the local community restores tradition and culture in song and dance. The legend that the river was born of a woman attracts many locals who seek for blessings (in secluded places) from its waters. This will take you about 2 Hours, after this wonderful experience, we continue to Jinja Town for a Hearty lunch which is about 80kms from Kampala to Jinja.
Day 4: Jinja White water Rafting
Today after breakfast, students will go out to start rafting at the Source of the Nile. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and thundering rapids of the White Nile. And do not forget to watch the incredible birdlife as you drift quietly between the rapids of the river.
Those who prefer a more peaceful experience of the Nile can also decide to go for a wonderful river journey for the whole family. Instead of choosing the wildest rapids, we drift swiftly between beautiful forested islands, bounce down smaller rapids and explore the least known channels. Children will love floating down the calmer section of the river!
At the end of this exciting day we head back to Kampala for the night..
